Revamping VisualBoston with Claude Code

For the past three weeks, we've been overhauling the VisualBoston website with a completely new approach. This update is not just about a fresh design but about how we build and deliver websites.

If you've followed us, you know we've worked almost exclusively with Webflow to deliver high-quality websites for our clients. We've built sites for partners including FraudNet, O2X, Team Brady, and others.

We still consider Webflow one of the best platforms for businesses that want a fast, flexible, and easy-to-manage website. At the same time, the web development landscape has shifted with the rise of Artificial Intelligence. Tools like Anthropic's Claude Code are opening new possibilities, and we are incorporating them into our workflow to build modern, scalable websites even faster.

Why Webflow Still Matters in 2025

When we first started using Webflow, it dramatically improved how quickly we could design, develop, and launch websites. Instead of lengthy development cycles, we could deliver polished marketing sites and business websites in a fraction of the time.

Webflow continues to stand out in several areas:

* Faster design-to-development – Designers and developers work in the same visual platform.

* Ease of use for clients – Teams without coding experience can update content and manage pages.

* Scalability – Webflow can support startups as well as large-scale enterprise projects.

For many companies looking for a professional website solution, Webflow remains an excellent choice. We continue to recommend it for marketing websites, landing pages, and content-driven projects where speed and flexibility are key.

The Rise of AI in Web Development

In the last year, AI has started to reshape how websites and applications are built. At VisualBoston, we have been using Claude's chat interface to help us solve complex development problems. Recently, the release of Claude Code has taken this to another level.

Claude Code allows us to work in our text editors while using AI to generate, refine, and optimize code in real time. This means:

* Faster iteration – We can test and refine code instantly without copy-pasting between tools.

* More complex interactivity – AI speeds up the process of building features that would normally take hours to prototype.

* Version control with Git – Every change is tracked and reversible, making collaboration smoother and safer.

Using Subagents in Claude Code

As part of building our new site, we also experimented with subagents. Instead of asking one general-purpose AI to handle everything, we asked Claude Code to take on focused roles like Digital Marketer, Product Designer, and Frontend Engineer. Each role contributed its part before handing it off to the next.

This gave us a workflow that felt closer to how real teams collaborate, while still moving at AI speed. Subagents kept each stage focused, reduced rework, and helped us align the final output with both design and technical best practices.

Webflow vs AI-Assisted Development

Webflow Workflow

* Ideal for content-driven sites and marketing projects.

* Easy client handoff with simple content management.

* Limited flexibility when heavy custom code or advanced version control is required.

AI-Assisted Development with Claude Code

* Perfect for complex web applications or rapid internal tools.

* Integrates directly with professional development workflows.

* Offers the speed of AI while maintaining the reliability of Git and custom code.

What This Means for Our Clients

At VisualBoston, we are not choosing one approach over the other. Instead, we are committed to helping clients select the right solution for their needs.

* Webflow websites are still one of the fastest and most effective ways to create professional, scalable websites for businesses that want control over their content.

* AI-driven development is a great fit for clients who need more advanced functionality, web applications, or rapid internal tools.

The future of web design and development will not be about one tool or platform. It will be about choosing the right mix of approaches to deliver the best results.

The Result: Our New Site is Live

Our website has been completely rebuilt with this AI-first development workflow. The site you're reading this on is faster, leaner, and a real-world example of what modern web development looks like in 2025.

We'll be sharing more about the lessons we've learned and the tools we're building in the coming weeks. This new site serves as a showcase of what's possible when combining AI assistance with modern development practices.

If you are considering a new website for your business, whether in Webflow or with an AI-powered development process, we'd love to talk about which approach makes the most sense for you.
